Friars Walk Dental Practice was established in Dunstable in1982 when Mr McKeon moved from his surgery in High Street South. The detached 1930s building was originally built as a residence for the superintendent of the police and has been transformed into a modern dental practice maintaining some of its original features.
At Friars Walk Dental Practice we provide a complete range of general dentistry to include preventive care, advice, support and treatment of gum disorders as well as minor and major restorative treatments. The practice is fully computerised and uses the latest techniques and equipment.
Sterilisation and cross-infection control
At Friars Walk Dental Practice cross-infection control is taken very seriously. Our infection control policy is routinely updated and staff are continuously refreshing their skills and knowledge with development courses as recommended by the General Dental Council.
Digital Radiography and Intra-Oral Camera
We have the latest digital imaging system allowing us to capture, display, enhance, store and transfer images instantly to all surgeries. The distinct advantage of digital imaging is the reduced x-ray exposure time for the patient, diagnostic quality and elimination of chemical processing. Amongst other things, it can reduce chair time and provide the dentist with a superior image, resulting in high levels of interpretation. In conjunction with our intra-oral cameras, a useful tool for demonstrating and recording 'before and after treatment', enabling us to provide our patients with a graphic treatment plan.
Location
The practice is situated in a residential area in the town centre, just off the A5, and has a large car park and wheelchair access at the rear. See and print map
